Professor Maximilian Gege is a founding member and chairman of the German Environmental Management Association B.A.U.M., which brings together more than 500 companies of all sizes and sectors to form European business’ largest environmental initiative. He occupies many posts in committees and on juries, and is a cofounder of the B.A.U.M. Future Fund, an innovative and sustainable financing instrument. Professor Gege has received numerous national and international awards, including the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Vision Award. He was named honorary professor of Leuphana University Lüneburg in 2001.
