Sustainability at TEDi

Sustainability has been an integral part of the corporate strategy at TEDi, the 1-euro discounter, since it was established in 2004. Since that time, the Dortmund-based retail store has taken many steps to become a sustainable retail company that shares this success with its employees, the environment and the society. For TEDi, this is what good business is about.

The sustainability strategy is based upon four areas derived from the value added chain and focuses on the following points:

TEDi has promoted developing its junior employees from the very beginning. Traineeships were offered in the company's first year. Certified green power is employeed at 98 percent of the stores, as well as at the headquarters and logistics centres. About 60 percent of the paper used is FSC-certified, bears the Blauer Engel seal or is 100 percent recycled. In addition, TEDi supports the "help and hope" foundation, which initiates social projects to help children in need.
