Annual Report 2014
'Breaking & Awakening' – that could be the title of the 148th financial year of our family business.
Despite the weakness of Kaiser's Tengelmann, in the 2014 financial year the Tengelmann Group generated consolidated net revenue in the amount of 8.10 billion euros. This corresponds to a growth of 5.8 percentage points (adjusted for currency effects) in comparison to the previous year. The share of foreign turnover amounted to 32 percent. The result was generated by 72,714 employees in 4,170 stores and 19 European countries.
KiK and OBI contributed significantly to this outcome. KiK reached the gross revenue mark of 2 billion euros for the first time in its 20-year history. OBI opened a potentially record-breaking 31 modern new markets. The holding companies TEDi and Netto likewise continued their successful course of growth. The newest business unit, TREI Real Estate, was able to open the tenth Vendo Park in Eastern Europe. Learn more:
